Thank you to each of these 4 Suburban North Club members who have been nominated and agreed to run for a 3 year term on the board. Your vote matters and we appreciate your input as to who will best serve the Suburban North Club Board of Directors. We also have committees that we are always seeking to find new volunteers if you are interested in being of service to SNC!
Derrick M.
Derek is running for a position on the Suburban North Club Board of Directors as his next step in a lifetime of service. In the past year, Derrick has had the privilege of serving as the GSR for the Royal Misfits group at Suburban North. Additionally, he contributed to the Central Indiana Narcotics Anonymous community by serving on the Activity Subcommittee and the Narcotics Anonymous Helpline.
Over the summer, Derrick was proud to serve on the PR Subcommittee. He is committed to using his skills and experience to make a positive impact on our club and community.

The past 30 years Kip has regularly facilitated 12 Step Meetings in jails, prisons & treatment centers. Kip has also served as a GSR a couple times, along with being a Meeting Secretary multiple times.
Kip is married to Jill for 28 years. Jill is also a SNC member & has a Sobriety Date of 03/22/1993. They have 3 adult children & 5 grandkids, all nearby so that they get a lot of time together. Kip & Jill enjoy traveling, hiking & whitewater rafting. Kip has proudly worked at Kirby Risk Electric (also a SNC supporter) for 27 years & plans on retiring from there at the end of 2026. He is also an amateur photographer & OG Computer Nerd
If Kip is elected to the board, he would like to get more people involved with service work at Corrections & Treatment Centers.
Kari C.
Kari has been attending meetings at Suburban North for almost 17 years; she currently regularly attends the noon meeting through the week, but that has changed throughout her sobriety journey. Kari has served as GSR representative for various groups and regularly sponsors women and helps them walk through the 12 steps.
Kari is a wife and mother of 2 grown children, hoping for grandchildren sooner rather than later. She has 2 dogs that keep her entertained in the mean time. Kari currently works as a clinical supervisor in the Cardiac ICU; God has a sense of humor and guided her into nursing when she got sober. He has continually shown Kari her role is to be of service to others, therefore that's what she tries to do.
Bogdan C.
Bogdan has been an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, attending meetings at Suburban North since the days of the old location and enjoying fellowship across various meetings statewide. His passion lies in supporting fellow members in their recovery journey, particularly through personalized assistance in job assistance, interview coaching, and resume building.
Bogdan's blend of real-world business acumen, leadership in managing large teams, a deep understanding of the AA program, and a heartfelt commitment to serve those seeking sobriety, positions him as an invaluable asset to the board. His diverse experiences and empathic approach make him uniquely qualified to contribute to our mission of supporting recovery.
Allison B.
Allison has been a member of Suburban North Club since July of 2020 when she began her recovery journey. She serves as secretary in her home group, brings meetings into treatment centers, and works as a peer recovery coach. She is passionate about recovery and music. In her spare time, she enjoys going to concerts with others in the program as an example that we can recover and that recovery can be fun. Though she enjoys doing service work for the fellowships of Alcoholics Anonymous and Heroin Anonymous, she’s ready and eager to serve Suburban North Club, which she considers her recovery home.
